Not everyone outside the Paris Fashion Week shows was in a statement look. Between the Spring/Summer 2027 arrivals, which ran from 28 September to 6 October, we kept spotting outfits you could actually wear on a Tuesday: a plain tee, a cream suit, a black coat. These are the ones worth saving.
Simple outfits lean on the sunglasses more than you would think. With nothing loud going on, the frame on your face is the strongest line in the look. Get it right and three plain pieces read as a decision.
A few things these three looks have in common, if you want to borrow the formula.
Keep the outfit to two or three tones, and let the frame take the darkest one. Cream and khaki with a black frame. All cream with a dark tortoise frame. The sunglasses anchor the palette instead of competing with it.
Echo the frame somewhere else. A brown frame with a burgundy bag, a black frame with black gloves. One repeat is enough to make the look feel finished.
Go slim when the clothes are relaxed. Oversized coats and wide trousers want a narrow frame for contrast. In these looks that meant a slim black oval that curves around the face, or a soft, rounded cat-eye.
If you want more of the season, our Paris Fashion Week sunglasses edit covers the bolder end. Here are the three dressed-down looks, and the frames that get you there.
Karlie Kloss, Stella McCartney SS27, Paris Fashion Week
Karlie Kloss arrived at Stella McCartney in a plain cream tee, khaki trousers with a tan side stripe and a tan leather clutch, hair slicked back. Three neutral pieces and a slim black oval wrap, and the frame does the rest. It is the easiest of the three to copy, and the one to start with if dressing simply is new to you. Nova and Specter are both mid-scale wraps that curve around the face the same way, low profile rather than sporty.

Jessica Alba, Zimmermann SS27, Paris Fashion Week
At Zimmermann, Jessica Alba wore cream from shoulder to floor: a relaxed blazer, a fitted waistcoat and wide pleated trousers, with a burgundy clutch and dark tortoiseshell sunglasses. Tonal dressing like this needs one dark point near the face, and the frame and the bag share the job. Hollis is the closest read: a softer, rounder cat-eye that comes in tortoise. Delta 9 is the same lifted shape, a touch larger.

All black, done properly. An oversized pea coat, a roll neck, leather gloves, leather trousers and a croc-effect top-handle bag, with blonde hair as the only light point. The slim black oval is what stops it reading heavy: a narrow frame against a big coat. Specter is the slim wrap that sits close to the face. Hollis in black is the softer, rounder alternative if you prefer a lifted corner.

Questions
How do you match sunglasses to your outfit?
Keep the outfit to two or three tones and let the frame take the darkest one, then repeat the frame colour once elsewhere, in a bag, belt or gloves. With minimal outfits the sunglasses are the strongest line, so they should anchor the palette rather than compete with it.
What sunglasses go with a minimalist style?
Slim black ovals and soft, rounded cat-eyes are easy starting points. Both are clean enough to sit with plain pieces and strong enough to finish the look.
Should sunglasses match your bag or shoes?
They don't have to match exactly, but one echo helps. A brown frame with a burgundy bag or a black frame with black gloves makes a simple outfit look considered.
What frame suits an oversized coat or wide trousers?
A slim frame. Relaxed, oversized clothes need contrast at the face, and a narrow oval or slim wrap keeps the look sharp instead of heavy.
